I worked as an NHS Speech and Language Therapist with the Wiltshire Speech and Language Therapy Team for 10 years. During my 10 years in the NHS I gained substantive experience working with children, families and education staff in both mainstream and specialist early years and school settings including CIRB resource bases, Springboard and Devizes District Specialist Centres for pre-school children. I have worked privately as an SLT with children who have verbal dyspraxia, speech disorder, language delay, global developmental delay and Autism. I have worked in different environments including homes, in educational settings and in clinical spaces. I also spent a year providing additional bought in services to Lyneham Primary in North Wiltshire proving support to staff and working directly and setting up therapy approaches for individual/group sessions to be carried out by Teaching Assistant's.

I have been a trustee for the last 2 years for Springboard Specialist Nursery in Chippenham and I also volunteer as a youth co-ordinator worker for my local church.

I have direct experience and training in providing therapy to children with:

Pre-school language delay. I am trained in working with families using Parent Child Interaction Therapy. I am also trained in Makaton at levels 1 and 2.

I am trained in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Attention Autism. I am also a qualified trainer for the Hanen: More Than Words Parent Programme which supports parents of children aged 0-5 years on the Autism Spectrum.

Speech Delay and Disorder including Verbal Dyspraxia. I completed post graduate studies in speech sounds disorders and have worked as a speech disorder specialist in the NHS working with more complex cases and supporting the skills of graduate level staff. I have experience in using a range of speech intervention programmes including the Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme.
