KIDSCOM was set up with the aim of helping children with communication difficulties overcome barriers and achieve their dreams.

Some children face challenges with listening, interacting with others, learning from what they hear and expressing their needs, desires and ideas. Without the right help their learning and development can be held back making their dreams significantly harder to achieve.

KIDSCOM is a private speech and language therapy practice that allows children in North Wiltshire access to timely, hands on, interactive and tailored therapy that will supplement and work together with the NHS. As an independent Speech and Language Therapist I can help such children by providing family and child centred communication therapy that is fun, interactive, and based on the best and proven therapy practices chosen to suit your child's needs. I'm a big believer in multi sensory therapy that is fun, engaging and I have real love of working with pre-school and key stage 1 children. Things should be meaningful and fun at this age including Speech and Language Therapy.

My therapy space is based at my home in central Chippenham. It has been set up to be a relaxed and child friendly space with everything at hand to deliver a great session. Alternatively I can visit your home or your child's nursery, pre-school or school in Chippenham, Calne, Corsham, Bath Easton, Malmesbury, Melksham or other parts of North Wiltshire. Please note that external visits do incur a time/travel charge of £20 per hour pro rata.

Please get in touch by email or call for a free 10 min consultation and let me know more about your child and ask questions to find out if you like to book a further assessment/therapy appointment with me.

Does your child find it challenging to understand and say new words? Do they find it hard to listen and follow instructions? Are you concerned they are not talking yet or using shorter sentences than their friends of a similar age? Read more about how I can help:

Unclear Speech

The English language has so many different speech sounds. Learning how to choose, plan and say the right sounds in words is a complex skill and one that your child may be struggling with. Does your child talk with immature sounding speech? Are there sounds they cannot, or really struggle to say? Do they have a lisp? Do they have a speech disorder or verbal dyspraxia and need regular and more specialist therapy support? Are they under 5 or primary school age? Please read more about how I can help

Being able to quickly and easily say your name, ask a question, tell a joke, share your news from the weekend or ask for directions are things we do everyday. For some children and young people though, getting their words out easily and fluently can be a real challenge. Does your child repeat words at the beginning of their sentences? Do some words get stretched out or completely stuck? Are they reluctant to talk in class, or with new people, because of their stammer? Do you want advice and strategies in how best to support your child with their fluency at home? Are they aged between 2 and 7yrs ? Read more about how I can help
